Our Terms of Use will define any capitalized term that is used but not defined in this Privacy Policy.
  2. We at Tanjib Alam and Associates take our responsibilities under the governing laws of Bangladesh. We also recognise the importance of the personal data you have entrusted to us and believe that it is our responsibility to manage, protect and process your personal data properly.

COMPLIANCE WITH PRIVACY LAWS AND ETHICS

The Cyber Security Act of 2023 prohibits the collection, selling, possession, provision, or usage of ‘identity information’ of a person, institution, company or any entity created by law (collectively termed as “person”) without any lawful authority. Such identity information is defined as “any external, biological or physical information or any other information which singly or jointly can identify a person or a system”. Such information is:
    • name
    • photograph
    • address
    • physical or digital signature
    • national identity card
    • fingerprint
    • voice print
    • retina image
    • iris image
    • DNA profile
    any other identification which might be available with the advancement of technology. The website will refrain from obtaining any such information; hence, if, in any case, the loss of such data will not be the liability of the Firm.
  2. The data which we collect from you may be collected, used, disclosed and/or processed for various purposes, depending on the circumstances for which we may/will need to process your data, including:
    • when required while providing legal services to you.
    • complying with or as required by any request or order of any governmental authority, i.e. any ministry or such governing bodies (given that Section 46 of the Information and Communication Technology Act of 2006, provides interception rights to the government in the interests of security of state and public order, among others).
    • carrying out research, analysis, and development tasks (such as data analytics, surveys, and/or profiling) to enhance our facilities and services for your advantage or to improve any of our services for your benefit so that your interaction with us is improved.
    • sending you information about any administrative changes, updates and/or amendments to our policies, terms and conditions.
    • any other purposes which we notify you of when required before collecting such data (collectively, the “Purposes”).
    As the purposes for which we may/will collect, use, disclose or process your data depend on the circumstances at hand, such purpose may not appear above. However, we will notify you of such other purposes than the ones aforementioned, at the time of obtaining your consent (unless processing of your personal data without your consent is permitted by law).
  3. We respect the confidentiality of the data you provided by using this website. In that regard, we will not disclose your personal data to third parties without first obtaining your consent permitting us to do so.

  2. As soon as it is reasonable to infer that
    • the purpose for which the data was obtained is no longer being served by the retention of such data or,
    • the retention is no longer required for any other business or legal reasons.
    we shall take steps to ensure that any information in our control or under our supervision is destroyed and/or anonymised.
