Mr. Hasan has cultivated extensive expertise in civil, commercial, corporate, company, project finance, energy law, intellectual property, arbitration, and constitutional matters. Over the years, he has assisted the Head of the Chambers and the Partners on several high-value foreign direct investment and loan syndication projects in Bangladesh. His notable mergers and acquisitions work includes the acquisition of shares in bKash Limited, Bangladesh's first unicorn company, by the prestigious SoftBank Group, representing the largest foreign direct investment in the country's mobile financial services sector. Additionally, he served as a counsel for the Sellers in the landmark transaction where Turkish beverage entity Coca-Cola İçecek (“CCI”) acquired 100 percent of the shares of Coca-Cola Bangladesh Beverages (“CCBB”) for a net value of $130 million.

Mr. Hasan has a strong interest in dispute resolution involving commercial, corporate, and public law disputes. He frequently represents various power generation companies in complex arbitration cases before the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission and advocates numerous local and multinational companies in District Courts, Labour Courts, and various tribunals. He also assists the Head of Chambers and Partners in complex litigation matters in both the High Court Division and the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

In his advisory role, Mr. Hasan serves a diverse clientele, both domestic and international, on issues related to labor and employment, judicial review, company law, taxation, energy, telecommunications, and banking law. He frequently collaborates with various government agencies, including the Bangladesh Investment and Development Authority (BIDA), the National Board of Revenue (NBR), the Department of Patents, Designs and Trademarks, and the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC). He possesses broad experience advising leading foreign law firms on Bangladeshi law, including Linklaters, Latham & Watkins LLP, McDermott Will & Emery, White & Case, Sullivan & Worcester, and Mori Hamada & Matsumoto.

Mr. Hasan is a Barrister-at-Law in England and Wales and an Advocate of the Bangladesh Bar Council. He is also an accredited civil-commercial mediator, certified by ADR-ODR International. He joined Tanjib Alam and Associates in January 2019 after completing his LLB and LLM in Commercial Law in the UK and being called to the Bar by The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.

Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Hasan is a fitness enthusiast, a football aficionado, and a strong advocate for equality. He frequently contributes to various global legal journals and notable local daily newspapers.
