Fatima Johra
Ms. Johra has developed extensive expertise across a wide range of legal fields, including power, competition law, corporate, labour matters, constitutional law, property law, telecommunications, admiralty, finance, arbitration, and customs law. She holds an LL.B. and LL.M. from renowned Universities of Bangladesh, a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Westminster, London, and has completed the Bar Training Course at BPP University, London.
She has actively advised and assisted senior counsel in representing leading corporate clients such as Avery Dennison, BBC Bangladesh Ltd., Coca-Cola Bangladesh Beverages Ltd., Ericsson, Grameenphone Limited, Robi Axiata Limited, United Power Generation and Distribution Company Ltd., Prime Bank, Padma Bank and bKash across a wide array of matters.
Her notable work includes assisting her senior through playing an instrumental role in research, drafting and defending Coca-Cola Bangladesh Beverages Ltd. from the outset of proceedings before the Bangladesh Competition Commission as well as in the arbitration proceeding on behalf of the United Power Generation and Distribution Company Ltd. before the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission. Ms. Johra’s academic acumen has meaningfully complemented her practice. She prepared a monograph offering a critical analysis of the Personal Data Protection Ordinance 2025 in the context of data protection in the telecommunications sector for Ericsson, which contributed to the final published Ordinance.
Ms. Johra regularly assists her seniors in preparing for trials, hearings, meetings and provides comprehensive assistance to clients. Her thorough drafting and briefing have significantly assisted her seniors in achieving positive rulings and orders in various petitions before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. As a result, she has contributed to several pivotal cases.
