Renowned for his proficiency in corporate commercial litigation, Mr. Kabir effectively represents clients in the High Court Division and various subordinate courts and tribunals. He has a notable record in arbitration, particularly in cases related to construction, international trade, and energy sectors.

 

Among Mr. Kabir’s distinguished clientele are leading multinational corporations such as International Beverages Pvt. Ltd. (Coca-Cola Bangladesh), CCL Industries Inc., DHL International GmbH, Federal Express Corporation, Mashreqbank Plc., Grameenphone Limited (Telenor Group), Robi Axiata Limited (Axiata-Airtel), Asa International N.V., A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S, AIG Europe Limited, Juki Singapore Pte. Ltd., IRIS Corporation Berhad, Financial Wellness Pte. Ltd. and Radisson Hotel Group. He regularly advises these corporations, along with financial institutions, on complex legal matters. He provides regular counsel to these organisations and financial institutions, guiding them through complex legal matters. His advisory services are also sought by major banks and financial institutions in Bangladesh, including Eastern Bank Limited, Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), Export-Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited, Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, Dhaka Bank Limited, and Southeast Bank Limited on matters related to debt restructuring, loan recovery, securities, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Kabir's collaboration with leading international law firms such as Deloitte Legal International Pte. Ltd. and Norton Rose Fulbright further underscores his ability to navigate cross-border legal matters effectively.

 

A regular contributor to the World Bank Group’s Doing Business Report, Mr. Kabir's acumen and dedication have earned him commendations from a state-owned intelligence agency for swiftly resolving complex disputes. His advisory roles have led to significant achievements, including facilitating a substantial equity investment for Energypac Group by a UAE-based construction conglomerate, structuring complex financing for a power project by Mashreqbank PSC, UAE, and resolving a significant dispute for a leading telecommunications service provider regarding its outsourced workers. He has also successfully defended the said telecommunications service provider in a significant competition commission case.

 

Notably, Mr. Kabir played a pivotal role in securing the Letter of Intent (LOI) and incorporation of Kori Digital Bank, the first Digital Bank in Bangladesh, and advised Financial Wellness Holdings Limited in establishing Wagely Bangladesh Limited, the country's inaugural digital financial wellness platform. His expertise also extends to intellectual property law, having successfully registered trademarks in 44 Countries for a leading Bangladeshi fintech business group.

 

Mr. Kabir was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2014 and subsequently enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Law (BPTC) from City University London, UK, and an LLB from London Metropolitan University, UK.
